Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $23.28 per hour

Bikeway is a bike shop in Mahopac, New York. This job is 35-40 hours/week, year-round. Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience. You MUST be able to work Saturdays.

In order to be considered, you must have at least 2 years of experience working at a retail, full-service bike shop. Rental facilities, e-Bike, and bike co-ops do not count towards the required experience. Candidates with more experience will receive preference in hiring.

Knowledge of current trends and the latest technology like suspension servicing, brake bleeding and servicing E-Bikes a definite plus. Mechanics must have the ability to communicate at all levels in the shop, including with service and sales staff, as well as our clients regarding their bikes. Mechanics must also efficiently handle a full day's worth of repairs and assemblies, as well as maintain a clean work space.

We are looking for a mechanic who is well versed in servicing all types of bicycles, service writing, point of sale software, and customer service. You must be able to assemble and repair bikes accurately and efficiently. Our store has a reputation for providing high-quality repairs with a quick turnaround time, and we are counting on you to help us maintain that reputation. You must also be able to communicate with customers in a manner that is friendly, clear, professional, and maximizes every sale. Our customers come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and you must be able to provide good customer service to everyone.
